1:46 p.m. Just like that, the A's are up 5-0 in the second. Tim Wakefield is being hammered left and right, and Todd Walker just committed his second error of this short series, throwing the ball way away from Kevin Millar at first base, allowing two runs to come home. This I did not expect. I thought the Sox were going to run away with this series.

Barry Zito has a huge cushion now. Then again, he had a 6-0 lead against the Giants in a game this summer and pissed it all away in the space of just one inning, a game the Giants won in 10 innings. We'll see how he holds up.

1:58 p.m. So far, Zito has given up one run, and as far as I can tell by looking at my muted TV set it was a hit by Johnny Damon. And Nomar has just walked. The tying run is already on deck. Here's Walker now; he can atone for his error...well, he advanced the runners with a grounder of some kind; I didn't see it...

2:00 p.m. Jose Guillen just made a nice running catch of the fly hit by Manny Ramirez, and the inning is over with just one run scoring. Close call for Oakland.

2:56 p.m. Still 5-1. Gotta head home. This may be my last entry.
